The Dept. of Cell Biology and the associated Microscopical Imaging Centre are located within the Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (RIMLS), a leading multidisciplinary research institute within the domain of molecular mechanisms of disease and particularly in the fields of cell biology, molecular medicine, and translational research. RIMLS innovation is advanced through a number of Technology Platforms, such as microscope and in vivo imaging, genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics. Prof. Dr. Peter Friedl is the chair of the “Microscopical Imaging of the Cell” and founding director of the Microscopic Imaging Centre at RUMC, and will be leading WP6 for the generation of high-content, high-throughput cell migration data sets.
